Identity and home verified
Every member can have their identity and home checked by a specialist provider. The badge only shows on verified projects.
Ongoing anti-scam checks
With our partner Trustee, we spot suspicious profiles and situations before they become a problem.
You choose who comes
Nobody enters your home without your yes. You review the profile, talk, then accept or not.
The same rules apply to both members: each one verifies, each one approves, each one leaves a deposit.
During the stay

Pre-authorized on each traveler's card before the stay. Never charged unless something goes wrong, released after.
The team stays reachable
Before, during and after the swapp. A doubt, a hiccup: you are not alone facing the other member.
If something goes wrong
Damage, breakage, theft, a home left dirty: this is exactly what the framework is for.

You report within 10 days
Photos, a description of the damage and proof of value, sent to the team after the other member leaves.

Their deposit goes first
The first $500 of damage is taken from their deposit, not yours.

The guarantee fund takes over
Beyond the deposit, the &Swapp guarantee fund can cover up to $20,000, subject to conditions. Cases above that ceiling are handled according to the terms.
What the guarantee is not
It is not an insurance contract, but a &Swapp safety net: it steps in for damage tied to a swapp, within the ceiling and conditions set out. Your home insurance covers other risks (fire, water damage, civil liability): keep it — the guarantee adds to it, it does not replace it. It also does not cover normal wear, the building's common areas or third-party belongings.

What if I find my home dirty or damaged?
You report it to the team within 10 days, with photos and proof. The other member's deposit covers the first $500, the guarantee fund applies beyond.
What if they bring people I didn't expect?
You set who you host when you accept the request. And damage caused by a member's companions is covered by the guarantee, same as theirs.
What if they cancel last minute?
If the project creator cancels, your service fees are fully refunded and your deposit is released. The team helps you with what comes next.
I'm a tenant, what does it change?
You remain responsible for your home towards your landlord. Keep your home insurance: the &Swapp guarantee adds to it, it does not replace it.
